2009 Golf tournaments 

Tr  Our Club championship:  Was held Saturday July 4th, and we had over 60 golfers which is a great turn out, of both members and guest. We started of at 9am and though we had a nice sunny day it was a little cool at first, but as the day it turned out to be a great day to Golf. 

Fir The awards winners of the day were

  • Club champion - Bobby Wynne

  • Low Net Winner- John Philip

  • Closet to the Pin Red # 6 - Cameron McCaig (Jimmy Burke's grandson, (16)  )

  • Closet to the Pin White # 2 - Martin Guthrie

  • Longest drive - Ian Wooldridge

I would like to give specials to Frank Abrahams form Miller's Bakery for providing a great meal that everybody enjoyed.

A    August 1st  - Andy Rumsby Memorial tournament.

Andy Rumsby Tournament

  • Saturday August 1st @ Mayfield

  • Shotgun start at 1:30pm. ( Shotgun)

  • 2 person team format vs Rangers Club

  • Cost $85.00 

  • Cost $60.00 - with golf pass or proof of membership at Mayfield

  • 18 holes of golf with cart & dinner back at the host club 

  • Dinner - Roast Beef and potatoes.

  • As This years host are the Bramalea Rangers club as they try to regain the trophy.

  • The net proceeds will go to Ontario Autism.  

      

         August 8th – Jock Stein Memorial Tournament

  • Host club St.Catharine’s to be played at Royal Niagara.

  • Price $ 120

  • There is a chance we may be able to take more than 18 players.

  • We are looking  into possibly of making it a weekend event.

  • Colin is looking into hotel rates and accommodation for the weekend

  • Golfers playing in tournament will get a preferred rate for Friday

  • John burke is looking into Sunday also of a preferred rate also.
